Change is the only constant

There is a well known saying; it is a woman’s prerogative to change her mind. Rather opinionated if you ask me, nonetheless, applying it to the general community. Is changing your mind a sign of achieving maturity or are you doomed to be fickle. In this fast paced world where evolution occurs at break neck speed is it really alright to judge anyone based on their previous stand. Many a great literature talks about fickleness of the human mind which supports my belief the question is in actuality, age old.

‘He wears his faith but as the fashion of his hat; it ever changes with the nest block.’ – Shakespeare.

I believe changing your mind should be welcomed rather than conchange2demned. After all, we all accede failure is the stepping stone to success; ergo it is okay to take wrong decisions and even better to rise above it and change your outlook. Lets us consider a scenario, a guy jumping from his mainstream job where his performance is rated average to something he truly loves and shines at. Nonetheless there are always two sides to a coin. Not in all situations changing your mind is favorable. Indecisiveness in some cases is not an attractive trait. For example if a guy is indecisive about a girl he is interested in. He is causing undue pain to the wretched girl.

Exposure is the key to life. Our experiences make us who we are. People, circumstances, enlightenment or change1anything else may serve as the catalyst but the end result is the same, we grow as an individual, we grow as a community. Even genetically evolution says that, those pro-change have the maximum likelihood for survival.

Change drives change. It a ‘person’s’ privilege to change their mind till we take care no one’s feelings are untowardly hurt. In the words of the great Edward De Bono ‘If you never change your mind, why have one?’
